- Monica is an award winning media consultant with a chain of newspapers on Long Island, NY. In that capacity Monica has mounted numerous successful advertising campaigns, supplements, news and feature stories, advertorials and restaurant reviews. Monica’s combining her interest in writing, cooking and passing on traditions to write this book. Mary Elizabeth is a nurse and works in the pharmaceutical industry in clinical research. She has contributed to Potluck Wisdom for the Pharmaceutical Professional. Her hobbies include cooking and gardening. In Jan 2008 she went to a local culinary school to earn a certificate in Pastry & Baking Arts. Once retired her and her husband plan on opening a gourmet catering business with their daughter who is a chef. M and M have collaborated the last couple of years on this project.
